If I’m Lucky, The End is Near…

So I took my last final of the semester on Friday. With any luck, it'll be my last final forever. I don't think I find out what grades are for quite some time. They do graduating senior grades early but I'm not sure how early. Regardless, I should now have time for that blank projects page and regular posts on this blog. Interestingly enough, I have no idea what I want to post about.
I saw Avatar in IMAX 3D, so maybe we'll talk about that. Also, the AutoCast (tentatively titled BlackGear) team is in town. Provided the recent snow clears up, we'll talked about getting together for a live broadcast. I guess in there are a lot of things to discuss.
While you're waiting for me to post again, hit up one of my friends' blogs on the sidebar. I don't know why I'm plugging them in a post, I don't get anything for it. If you're in to Japanese living/culture/stuff: I just started reading "The Hopeless Romantic" thanks to Danny Choo. Hopefully you won't realize how horrible my blog is after seeing all these others and never come back. I really need to plan these posts out because obviously my stream-of-consciousness rantings don't lead anywhere positive when it's late and I have nothing to say.
Oh snap, the big move!
As you may have noticed - my blog is no longer "n4AEGIS." I've decided to move to a seperate top-level domain and my own hosting. Cool? Yes. However, seeing as this is still just another blog why drop all this money? Well, I decided I needed a platform to publish the projects I'm working on and I'd probably need a paid host for that. Yes, there are goodies coming - I only ask that you wait a bit longer.
I also now have a work environment for other forms of web-based development not limited to other websites and web-enabled applications. I don't have some grand roadmap laid out but I'm sure I'll have some neat stuff in the works soon enough. It's about time, right? With graduation on the horizon, I decided it's pretty much now or sometime far in the future when I have far less potential for greatness.
So expect more posts and even more non-blog content. I should probably get a resume on here or something...
July Status Update
It's been a minute since I've checked in here. I decided to discontinue the FFXI blog. I don't have a good reason but it's dead now. So if I haven't been blogging about FFXI what have I been up to?
So I had this idea…
...and it was really cool. No really, I've been brainstorming and I think I'm going to keep up with the "Trends That Need to Die." I will also be bringing in another regular piece. Don't expect it before February. I plan on making these monthly contributions. if I can think of two more pieces, I'll get up to speed on my 'one post per week' plan that I have. Also, the content should be higher quality and consequently, I hope to drive more traffic to the site before I switch over to my own host. What's that, the blog is moving? You didn't hear it from me...
All About News: Blog Update
In other news: I haven't quit the blog but I may be posting a lot more random topic items. I have new projects to work on (graduating being one of them) that I don't have time for planned posts on specific and timely subjects.
Speaking of other projects: those in the know have heard of my AutoCast project. Basically an Internet webcast on the subject of performance cars and motorsports involving them. Well, after a long time of planning and postponing the first webcast has been done!
I have the file -- and to be honest it came out kinda crappy. My mic didn't pick up so well and that is the last time I try to record using Audigy and the Stereo Mix channel. I either need some hardware to feed the channels in to or I need to purchase some software. All of us could use better mics as well (though that most-likely won't happen because we're not at that level yet.
Anyway, the first session has been recorded and I plan on releasing it more-or-less unedited (I need to boost the volume) and calling it Session #00 until we can do a structed session where the voices come out much more balanced.
EDIT: Also, important tidbit, I have been playing Fallout 3 and I will post my conclusions after actually playing the game.
52 Posts: Goal Met!
Technically, I've hit my mark of 1 post a week. I still have over 3 months left and I'm poised to go well over my goal after I discount all posts concerning status updates of the blog and myself. Go me! Time to push further? Can go double or nothing?
Couple of things I'm looking to do now:
1. Improve the quality of posts here.2. ???
3. Profit
4. Move the blog to its own domain with a professional-ish design
5. Create an outlet for game development and other media creations with my blog.
6. Bring on at least two more writers
What I'm thinking is that I may need to break away from n4AEGIS and start a new blog to accomplish these things. I kinda like dumping my mental garbage to the blog every now and then. I really like having that sort of outlet and I also believe that pushes away people that may really want to keep up with reading the blog. On the other hand a couple of my friends may find my ramblings interesting (so that they can rag on me later about them). We'll see what happens. Right now, I'm just aiming for more posts and will continue to focus on tech, anime, and games.
Yawn, I awake once more
I know, I died off for awhile again. School started up and I stopped posting. I'll make a post on Code Geass R2 later. I apologize, I really am trying to become consistent with my posts. I'm also trying to home in on a theme. There have been days when I wanted to make a post but it had more to do with my life than anime, games, or tech news. Not to say that's all that will make the cut but I am trying to specialize the blog a little.
So yeah, less rants from me about random things. Should I add my opinions on human nature and continue to comment/rant about my life and things that inspire me as a consequence of it? Sound off in the comments if you want to hear about crap like that. Really, sound off if you want to hear about anything in particular. Don't ask for something like rationalizing titrations. I'm 1) not that smart and 2) don't want anything too heavy.
A Brief Hiatus
Leave it to Noky to fall short every now and then. A lot has gone down in the world while I've been away. I plan to catch up, don't worry. I hope everyone has been keeping up with my favorite blogs as they are really good ways to kill time between my posts.
n4AEGIS will be back shortly. This summer keeps throwing curve balls and require me to adjust in order to find time for everything. Sorry for the delay, hopefully the content will be worth the wait.
The Edge is Near
So it's finals time @ UMBC. Unfortunately for me, I'm really feeling it this year. Overhead earlier: "I've never worked this hard for such bad grades." That sentiment wraps up my feelings right now as well. What started out as a possible 4.0 semester has deteriorated into "I pray Jebus gives me a 3.0" semester. Chances are I'm falling below that 3-0 mark, which really sucks.
Enough about the bad -- on to the good. I got some things cooking in my head that should be interesting. This summer is going to be crazy. Once things are a little more solid I'll plug them here of course.
I still haven't given the blog any real publicity yet. No Facebook, no e-mail/forum sigs, nothing. It's not ready yet. Soon though, I hope anyway.
It's really early in the morning and I need food and sleep. Two more finals to go and I'm free (well free to become a slave to my social commitments anyway).
Unleashed…Slowly…

This blog is slowly rolling along. I'm made quite a few posts in the last couple of months (more like the last 4 weeks or so). Seeing as this is a free-form blog and I want to get posts rolling, I'm looking to open the range of post-able content a bit.
Of course, anything I post has to reflect me so I'm definitely looking to push my interests a bit more. I've already touched on a lot of these but I'm definitely digging deeper in to online journalism and how exactly I should begin presenting material.
I'm sort-of (a little intentionally) headed toward a blend of Karoshi (now defunct anime blog), The Assimilated Negro, and Kulimar's LiveJournal (very sporadically updated). Or at least I wish I was.
I may start another blog in addition to this one, me and my roommate had brief talks of a more professional take on n4AEGIS but I think I'm going to keep this a relaxed presentation (errors and all) because it's easier for me to post if everything is stream of consciousness. I think it'd be a good step for me to contribute to Black Salvage sometime over the summer and/or start some real journalistic articles on various forms of media I enjoy.
As always, we'll see what happens. For the few who do, keep reading. Oh yeah, and comment -- it makes me feel all happy inside.
